That's a tourist village today which arose from a small fishing-settlement. Martinšćica is settled in a beautiful cove with a gravel beach which is opened towards south. The remembrance of the view towards Osoršćica hill and the island Žeča will in your thoughts long after you leave.

The name of the village was found by the local church of Saint martin which is settled near the convent of Glagolithics Franciscans, Not far from the church there is Kaštel (that is restaurant today) build as a country house for cresian nobleman Sforza in 18th century.
