Nerezine

Two kilometers from Saint Jacob you'll find the village Nerezine, a sunny place with several beaches. At the very entrance into the village you'll find the church of Saint Mary Magdalena which was built in 1534 near the main road. The Studenac square is the center of all the events connected to the village. There's the church of the Mother of God above it which was built sometime between 1875 and 1877. Not far from square there's a protected port with a jetty and a small marina. On your way out of the village beside the sea, you'll find the Rapoća camp. Near it there's a friar convent of Saint Francis which was built between 1505 and 1513. Church was also built during that time, and in 1604 the building of the baroque three-stored belfry was finished. Beside the church there's a small picturesque cove.The Nerezine settlement was found by the linking of smaller villages : Halmac, Pešćine, Taržić and Bardo in the base and the shapes of Osoršćica.
