Veli Lošinj is the next biggest town on the island after main Lošinj. It is known as the climatic medical center and it's situated on the south-east part of the island at the base of saint John's hill which gives us a beautiful view on the town and its surroundings.

The gardens of this beautiful little town are planted with subtropics plants.

When you enter the town you can see  park with the medical center on right . If you go  straight ahead, the road will take you on the other side of the island. There is Rovenska bay, that used to be fisherman settlement.  From there, you can walk to Mali Lošinj by following a path by the sea. The next cave is also the center of events of Veli Lošinj.

On the side of the bay there is a church of Saint Anton the "hermit" which was built in 18th century. The original one was built in 1440. and it's a real collection of arts. Opposite to it there's a tower which can also be seen on the town's coat of arms. There are several tourist agencies, boarding houses, cafe's, restaurants ...

At the end of town, between the main road and the path by the sea, there is hotel "Punta" with a apartments, open and closed swimming pools, tennis fields and many other contents.

Half way from Veli to Mali Lošinj there's settlement which is called Valdarke with beautiful sheltered bay.
